Common-wealth Games (CWG) planning committee had feed the players with beef, was shown on ‘Sudarshan Channel’ for the last two days. On learning this, enraged Hindus charged on the office of CWG’s planning committee by breaking the tight security and displayed boards condemning the incident. (Congratulations to Sudarshan Channel for raising its voice against CWG planning committee for feeding the players beef and those Hindus, who managed to break the tight security at the competitions and charged its office displaying boards. Hindus must realize that the Congress has been deliberately ignoring religious sentiments of Hindus for Muslim votes. They will pay attention to Hindus religious sentiments only when they are ousted from power ! )
The demonstration was led by Shyam Maharaj, who is originally from Alandi; now staying at Vrundavan. During the demonstrations, hundreds of CWG committee volunteers generated enthusiasm among the demonstrators instead of opposing them. The CWG Committee had given an assurance two years back, in writing, to the worshippers of cow that players would not be served beef as Hindus venerate cow as God; but the Committee did not keep its word and fed beef to the players. Mr. Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister of Gujarat had also accused CWG Committee two days back in Baroda; but the mass media ignored the same as usual. (This shows media’s hatred towards Hindus. Hindus must boycott such media.)
‘Sudarshan’ channel, which is watchful towards religious sentiments of Hindus, however, continued showing the news. This created furor among Hindus against CWG Committee. Hindus gathered in large number, carried photographs of the players who have earned gold medals for the country breaking the tight security provided for the games. As they reached the CWG office, they turned the photographs as pictures of cow were stuck on the back side and exhibited the boards with cows’ pictures saying ‘Do not eat me , protect me’ protesting against the Committee. The police were also confused with sudden turn of events. Once they understood the matter, they also said that the Committee was wrong in feeding players with beef.

No beef on menu during Commonwealth Games: Kalmadi
PTI, Jul 22, 2010, 06.03pm IST
NEW DELHI: Laying all speculations to rest, the Organising Committee on Wednesday clarified that beef will not be served during the Commonwealth Games scheduled to be held from October 3-14.
"We made this decision some weeks ago and have informed our catering contractors accordingly," said Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi in a statement.
"We are issuing this clarification since there seems to be a perception that cow meat would be served during the Games. I hope this will clear any remaining doubts," Kalmadi added.
The issue had first arisen some months ago when former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh wrote to Kalmadi asking him to keep cow meat out of the menu during the Games.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) had also warned the organisers and passed a resolution against serving beef during the 12-day-long sporting event. Later, the Delhi government had also clarified that beef will not be served during the Games.
